Usage Guide & Reference
Choose your writing style — Two AI models are available: Ghost-Pro (default) and Ghost-Ultra. Use the Writing Style toggle inside the Rewrite Mode section to switch between them. Each produces noticeably different results — if one result is still flagged, toggle to the other.
Choose a rewrite mode — Eight modes are available: Standard, Technical, Casual, Simplify, Elevate, Drift, Shorts, and Phantom. Each model auto-selects its recommended mode when switched to. Hover any mode button to see a description.
Paste your text — The input box expands as you type. The app supports up to 500 words. The progress bar turns yellow above 200 words and red above 350.
Click Rewrite — Output streams in real time on the right panel.
Not happy? Click Retry to generate a fresh version, or switch mode first. Click Edit to manually refine the output in place.
Rewrite a single sentence — Select any text in the output panel with your mouse and click the ↻ Rewrite selection button that appears. Only that fragment is rewritten using Shorts mode.
Check AI Score — Click Check AI Score to run the output through Originality.ai. Results appear below the panels across all three models.
2-Pass mode — Runs two sequential rewrites with different modes. Click 2-Pass, pick a mode for each pass in the popup, then click Run. Strongest transformation available.
Match the mode to the source AI. Use Standard or Technical for Google AI / Gemini text. Use Simplify or Elevate for Claude or ChatGPT text. Use Casual for a light-touch natural rewrite.
Try Retry before switching modes. The model is probabilistic — 2–3 retries on the same mode often produce a noticeably different result.
Use 2-Pass for the lowest AI scores. For maximum transformation, pair Technical for Pass 1 with Elevate for Pass 2.
Use Edit for fine-tuning. If one sentence is off, click Edit and fix it directly rather than re-running everything.
Use selection rewrite for flagged sentences. Select the specific sentence a detector flagged and click ↻ Rewrite selection to retarget only that fragment.
Citations are preserved automatically. The system prompt instructs the model never to alter citations, statistics, names, or technical terms. No need to remove them before submitting.
Inputs up to 500 words are supported. The full text is sent to the model in one pass for the most coherent output.
Shorts mode is for short fragments only. Designed for 1–3 sentences. Do not use on full paragraphs.
