Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the AI Rewriter service. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Description of Service
AI Rewriter is an AI-powered text rewriting tool that uses locally-hosted language models to paraphrase and restyle written content. It also provides an AI-detection tool that scores text for the likelihood that it was machine-generated.
Access is tiered:
- Without an account: the AI detector is free to use, subject to a daily limit applied per network address and to the acceptable-use rules below.
- With a registered account: new accounts receive a small number of free trial rewrites.
- With an active paid subscription: full access to the rewriting tool, subject to the fair-use limits described in Section 4.
Current limits and prices are those displayed on the pricing and subscription pages at the time you use the service. Rewriting is performed by models hosted on our own infrastructure; text submitted for AI detection is sent to a third-party detection provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and up to date.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use this service only for lawful purposes. You must not use the service to:
- Submit, rewrite, or distribute content that is defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to academic integrity policies of any institution.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use the service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair it.
- Obtain more than one free trial — for example by registering additional accounts, or by using a different email address, browser, or device to start a further trial.
- Share an account with anyone else, use an account that is not yours, or resell or otherwise provide others with access to the service.
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any usage limit, quota, or block — for example by rotating IP addresses, using a proxy or VPN to reset a daily allowance, clearing or forging cookies or device identifiers, or creating a new account after being banned.
- Access the service by automated means, including scripts, scrapers, headless browsers, or bulk tooling. There is no public API; all access must be through the application in an ordinary browser session.
How these rules are enforced. Some of the above are enforced automatically rather than by review:
- Free-trial eligibility is tied to device and identity signals, so a device or email address that has already used a trial will not be granted another.
- An account may be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a second device while another session is active will be refused; sign out on the first device to continue elsewhere.
- Use of a single account from several devices in a short period is flagged for review.
- The free tools apply a daily limit per network address, and repeated attempts after that limit is reached may result in that address being blocked.
These controls act automatically and will occasionally affect legitimate users — several people sharing one computer or network is the common case. Every block is recorded with a reason and can be reviewed. If you believe you have been blocked in error, contact us through the support channels and we will look into it and lift the block if it was wrongly applied.
Academic Integrity Notice: Submitting rewritten AI-generated text as your own original work in an academic context may violate the academic integrity policies of your institution. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of this tool complies with any applicable institutional rules or policies. The service provider accepts no liability for any consequences arising from such use.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Full access to the rewriting tool requires an active paid subscription. Subscription plans are offered at fixed durations and prices as displayed on the subscription page.
Plans do not renew automatically. Each purchase is a single one-off payment that grants access for the stated period. When that period ends, access stops until you buy another plan. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.
Currency. All payments are charged in Kenyan shillings (KES). If you are outside Kenya, prices may be displayed to you as an approximate conversion in another currency for convenience only; the amount actually debited is the KES amount shown alongside it, and your bank’s own exchange rate and any foreign-transaction fee will apply.
Fair use. Active subscriptions are subject to a cap on the number of rewrites in a rolling 24-hour period, as shown in the application. If you reach it, you may either wait for the window to roll forward or purchase an additional rewrite pack; rewrite packs require an active subscription and are consumed only after the daily allowance is used up.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paystack, using M-Pesa or card depending on the methods available in your location. All subscription and rewrite-pack fees are non-refundable once activated, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details are correct. The service provider reserves the right to alter pricing or subscription plans at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of abuse or unauthorised access.
6. Intellectual Property
The service, including its design, software, and all underlying technology, is the property of the service provider and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the original text you submit. However, by using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your text solely for the purpose of providing the rewriting and AI-detection services you request. We do not store or share your text beyond what is necessary to operate the service; the one onward transfer we make is to our AI-detection provider, and only for text you send to the detector or ask us to score.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the quality, accuracy, or suitability of rewritten output for any particular purpose. Results may vary depending on the input text, selected model, and other factors.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or if continued access poses a risk to the service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
10. Privacy
We collect personal information for account management, communication, security, and analytics — including your email address, technical data such as IP address and device characteristics, and recordings of how pages are used. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required to operate the service or as required by law. By using the service, you consent to this data collection and processing. 11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will endeavour to notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
