An AI Humanizer for Kenyan Postgraduate Theses
Your thesis passes your supervisor, a Turnitin report and a graduate school board before it reaches examiners. AI Rewriter takes care of the part that catches people out: drafts written with AI help that still read like AI.

A Kenyan thesis is checked more than once. At Kenyatta University the supervisor runs drafts through Turnitin and the Graduate School will not table the thesis without a Plagiarism Clearance Certificate. At Moi the supervisor checks at proposal, drafting and pre-examination stages. KCA's Board of Postgraduate Studies checks every proposal and dissertation submitted to it.
Those checks look for matching text. The similarity limits differ by university (16% at Kenyatta, 15% at Maseno and in UoN's engineering departments, 25% at Strathmore and KCA, under 30% at Moi). AI scores are mostly unregulated, though UoN's Civil and Construction Engineering department caps AI-generated or AI-assisted text at 20% of a thesis. Supervisors still read every chapter, and a literature review that sounds like a chatbot invites questions you then have to answer.
AI Rewriter rebuilds your sentences so a draft reads naturally and beats AI detectors. It keeps your terminology and citations, and shows a live AI score on each of three versions. A meaning check lets you confirm the argument is still yours before a chapter goes to your supervisor.
Built for thesis work in Kenya
- A chapter section per rewrite. Up to 1,000 words at a time: a literature review subsection or a methods section in one pass, small enough to read properly afterwards.
- Terminology and citations kept. Discipline terms, in-text citations and quoted material stay as they are. Check the output anyway, because you sign the declaration of originality, not the tool.
- Meaning check before your supervisor sees it. One click opens your original and the rewrite together in ChatGPT, Claude or AI Studio, which reports what changed in the argument.
- Paid in shillings, once. KES 200 for a day, KES 1,300 for a week, KES 2,300 for a month, by M-Pesa. A week pass covers a corrections sprint before resubmission, and nothing renews.
- Try it on your own chapter first. Five rewrites are free on a free account with no card.
It works best a section at a time on chapters built from your own research. You keep the reading, the data and the argument; the rewrite deals with how the sentences sound. Read each result before it goes back into the thesis.
Before you submit, read the plagiarism percentage at each Kenyan university and where using ChatGPT to check a dissertation becomes cheating. For paying by M-Pesa and pricing, see AI humanizer Kenya; for research writing outside Kenya, the researchers page.
Frequently asked questions
Will it get my chapter past an AI detector?
It's built to beat AI detectors, and each of the three versions shows a live AI score from a professional-grade detector, so you see where it stands before you submit. No tool can promise 0% on every detector, so check the version you pick.
What similarity percentage does my university accept?
Kenyatta's 2020 policy sets 16% (and rejects under 6%), Maseno and UoN's engineering departments 15%, Strathmore and KCA 25%, and Moi under 30% excluding the bibliography. Your school or supervisor can be stricter, so confirm the figure for your programme.
Do Kenyan universities check AI scores on theses?
Turnitin's AI-writing report sits alongside the similarity report, and the Nairobi and Egerton libraries have trained staff on it. The only cap we found is UoN Civil and Construction Engineering's 20% limit on AI-generated text; no university had a published university-wide AI policy as of October 2026.
Can I pay with M-Pesa?
Yes. Every pass is a one-time M-Pesa or card payment in KES through Paystack. There is no subscription.
